FOODFETISH FAQ

Quick answers. Clear next steps.

Useful answers for diners and restaurant owners using FoodFetish.

Is FoodFetish free for diners?

Yes. Patron accounts are free. Registered diners can submit FoodFetish reviews, subject to moderation.

How do restaurants get listed?

Restaurant owners can create a profile or claim an existing listing. FoodFetish staff review ownership and verification separately.

What does Verified mean?

The red Verified badge is an administrative trust status controlled by FoodFetish. It is not purchased and Premium payment does not automatically grant verification.

What is Premium?

Premium is the paid restaurant plan that unlocks eligible owner-managed public features such as menus, richer contact actions, opening-hours presentation and enhanced profile content once the listing is claimed, verified and the subscription is active. Recurring billing is processed securely through Payfast.

Can restaurants update their own information?

Yes. Approved owners use the Restaurant Owner Dashboard and the same guided Restaurant Manager used by FoodFetish staff.

How does location work?

FoodFetish keeps its own province, city and suburb directory structure. Google Maps is used to help identify the exact restaurant location, show maps and provide directions.

Are reviews copied from Google?

No. FoodFetish reviews and ratings are separate. If a Google rating is shown, it is labelled as Google and is never combined with the FoodFetish score.

Where is FoodFetish launching first?

Gauteng is the first launch province, with expansion planned across South Africa.
