List yourHow FoodFetish collects, uses and protects personal information.
We may collect account details such as name, email address and phone number; restaurant-owner and claim information; review submissions; newsletter consent records; restaurant profile information; technical security logs; Google Maps and Places interactions used to identify restaurant locations; and payment-related references, subscription identifiers, payment status information and recurring-billing information supplied by our payment provider. FoodFetish does not store raw card numbers or CVV data. Google Maps content is used under Google’s terms; FoodFetish keeps its own directory fields under our control and stores Google Place IDs as the persistent Google reference.
We process information to provide accounts and directory services, verify restaurant claims, moderate reviews, manage Premium subscriptions and recurring billing, communicate service and payment-related messages, prevent fraud or abuse, improve FoodFetish and send marketing only where the appropriate consent or lawful basis exists.
Newsletter opt-in is separate from creating an account. We record the date and method of consent and provide an unsubscribe mechanism in marketing communications.
Information may be shared with service providers that help operate FoodFetish, such as hosting, email, maps, analytics and payment providers, only as needed for those services. Payment and subscription information may be shared with PayFast and its payment-processing partners for payment authorisation, recurring billing, fraud prevention, transaction processing and related payment services. Restaurant listings may display information intended to be public. We do not publish private account details merely because someone has registered.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, subscription administration and payment-record requirements. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards and limit administrative access. FoodFetish does not store raw card numbers or CVV data; card details are processed by the relevant payment provider.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, object to certain processing, request deletion where appropriate, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
FoodFetish may use essential cookies and, once configured, analytics, mapping and payment services that may set their own cookies or process device, transaction or payment-related information. PayFast and its payment-processing partners may process payment and subscription information in accordance with their own privacy and security practices. See the Cookie Notice for more detail.
